In recognition of September as National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Mendenhall Public Library hosted a contest throughout the month. Patrons were invited to enter by recording the amount they saved each time they checked out materials using their library cards, with the savings amount located at the bottom of their receipts. A total of 109 patrons participated in the contest, resulting in an impressive total savings of $9,526.13 at the Mendenhall Library.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Angela was our contest winner, having saved a remarkable $1,501.41. Other notable contributions include our senior adult patron, Mrs. Alice, who saved $337.97, young adult patron Lilli with savings of $37.98, and our youngest patrons, Lucas & Logan, who saved $187.81.
We extend our gratitude to the Friends of the Mendenhall Library for sponsoring the gift card for this contest, as well as heartfelt thanks to all patrons who participated in the "Everyone Saves Money at the Library" contest.
