MENDENHALL, MS – Simpson General Hospital has welcomed two new members to its medical team – Cori Walters, NP, and Lindy Cochran, NP.
Walters is working primarily in the Harrisville Medical Clinic, and Cochran is working in the SGH Drive-Thru Clinic.
Walters attended Jones County Junior College, and then William Carey University, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in biological science. She furthered her education at the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor of nursing degree and went on to obtain her master of nursing-family nurse practitioner degree at the University of South Alabama.
Cochran studied nursing at Jones County Junior College and then the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received her nurse practitioner’s degree. She has worked in a variety of hospitals and private clinics and has over 21 years of experience in healthcare.
Simpson General is also offering extended hours at several of its medical clinics in an effort to provide more access to care. The clinics with new hours are as follows:
SGH Drive Thru Clinic
Monday – Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m. - 12 noon
Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closing each day 12 noon - 1 p.m. for lunch
SGH Medical Clinic
Monday – Wednesday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Open each day during lunch
Harrisville Medical Clinic
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closing each day 12 non - 1 p.m. for lunch
