Marilyn Sue Warren passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Magee General Hospital. She was 84 years old. She was born on August 8, 1940, to Royce Reynolds and Iva Rue Harrison Reynolds in House, MS.
Marilyn retired from the State of Mississippi Workers Compensation Commission. She was fun, had a great sense of humor, and had an outgoing personality. She was very devoted to her husband, Doug, and they were always together. She loved to sing and enjoyed doing yardwork. She was a member of Coat Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Iva Rue Reynolds; sons, Gary Taylor and Rodney Taylor; daughter, Marilyn Horton; and sisters, Delores Jenkins and Virginia Hines.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas T. Warren, Sr.; son, John C. Taylor, Jr.; stepsons, Doug Warren Jr. and Wesley Warren; daughter, Lisa Hutchins; stepdaughter, Tammy Stanford; sister, Faye Sharp; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services for Marilyn were held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at Coat Baptist Church in Magee, MS, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service. Interment followed in Coat Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Donnie Guy, Bro. Orlando Rankin and Bro. Stacy Reeves officiated the service.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
