Supervisors deal with danger of dead trees roadways

At the Simpson County Board of Supervisors’ May 6 meeting, Road Manager Ben Warren warned of the thousands of dead trees along county roads.
Warren explained that a bad storm could drop these trees in roadways, creating a hazard for citizens and county workers.

Lady Tigers Advance to the Second Round

The Mendenhall Lady Tigers are moving on to the next round after back-to-back statement wins over Columbia. The Lady Tigers dropped the first game of the series at home 6-2 where they struggled at the plate. The Tigers recorded only one hit in the game and took a while to settle in on defense.
