A Memorial Gathering was held for Martha Ann Slay Joyce from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Riverwood Family.
Martha Ann Slay Joyce, 78, of Brookhaven, passed away on September 1, 2025, at
Trend Nursing Home. She was born on August 4, 1947, to the late J.W. Slay and Martha Ann Stephens Slay.
Martha was a member of the Willing Hearts Circle at King's Daughters Medical Center, a former member of First Baptist Church and First United Methodist Church, and a recent member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was also a former member of the Brookhaven Junior Auxiliary. She was very active in staying in touch with many friends and relatives and in caring for her late parents and late husband before their deaths.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dalmos E. Joyce; and stepfather, Reggie Bourn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her stepchildren, Joanna Posey and husband Jeff, Deanna Joyce and Daryl Joyce. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Moak, Hannah Moak, Leanna Moak, Claire Posey, and Justin Posey; and two great-grandchildren, John Wayne Berch and Maggie Petty, as well as many treasured friends.
