Mary Beatrice “Bea” Lewis, 93, of Magee, MS, gained her angel wings on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her residence in Magee, MS. She was born Sunday, September 20, 1931 in Simpson County, MS.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS, with a graveside service following at Magee City Cemetery in Magee, MS. Ken Looney officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee handled arrangements. 601-849-5031.
BB loved her family and she was loved by her family. She loved Magee. She knew everyone and kept up with everyone. She loved to garden and work in her yard even at the age of 90. She loved the Lord and was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church.
Bea entered the world of work in sales, and what a good salesperson she was.
She loved her attending physician, Dr. Charles Pruitt. When she could, she would take him a coconut cake and a caramel cake. Bea will be remembered for many things, including her delicious caramel cake.
Cathy Brown and Elizabeth Luckey Tadlock took care of BB so she could stay home. Bea and her family were so happy she could spend her final days at home with such good care.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, J. B. Lewis; infant son, J. B. Lewis, Jr.; infant daughter, Brenda Gail Lewis; father, Louie David Lucky; mother, Irene Gregory Lucky; brothers, L P "Prent" Lucky and Paul B. "Pete" Lucky; sister, Louise "Lou" Lucky Ates; special friend, John Cambron.
Survivors include her sons, Lynn Lewis of Mendenhall, MS and Bruce Lewis (Pam) of Magee, MS; daughter, Paula Lewis Looney (Ken) of Madison, MS; sister, Vera Lucky Robinson; grandchildren, Logan Lewis Hand (Chad), Morgan Lewis (Shelly), Leslie Lewis Barry (Dennis), Lundon Lewis Warren (Tommy), Jennifer Lewis Ravenstein (Corey) and Justin Lewis (Kiley); great grandchildren, Kacie, Matthew, Gavin, Addison, Emory, Sage, Lalea Grace, Lance, Macie, Madison, Addison, Kennedy, Maddox, Swayze; and great-great grandchildren, Tyler, Annabelle, Arthur, Aleah and Matthew.
Pallbearers were Gavin, Kacie, Matthew, Sage, Justin, and Stuart Welch.
