It’s Halloween week, and our neighborhoods are decorated with scary models of monsters and witches. TV ads urge us to check out the horrifying movies they’re showing this week, films they say will keep us from sleeping.
I don’t know about you, but something worse than monsters and witches is scaring me and disturbing my sleep this week: the prospect that Kamala Harris could be our next president. I shudder to think of the ramifications of that spooky outcome.
Of course, some of you plan to vote for her for specific reasons of your own. That’s your business. But I’m wondering if your reasons are justified.
Some feminists are voting for her just because she’s a woman. They want to prove that a woman can be as strong a leader as a man. My question to you: Is Kamala really the best example of what a woman can do? She can’t talk without a teleprompter, and if a fly lands on it, she starts to stutter. She can’t act without her handlers (most of which are men) coaching her in what to do. She is unable to come up with a plan for the country until someone else tells her what that plan is— including Donald Trump, whose tax plans she’s copying.
Is this really the best you girls have for selling the country on a woman’s ability to lead? She has ambition, all right, but ambition isn’t ability. Give me a Condoleezza Rice or a Sarah Huckabee and I’ll vote for a woman. But Kamala as our fearless leader? That’s terrifying!
Are you voting for her because you want a Black person to represent you? As part Jamaican, she is partly Black, but she was not raised in the Black culture and she didn’t marry into the Black culture. Her occasional effort to appear Black on the campaign trail was ridiculous and inauthentic. Does she really represent Black America?
If you’re voting for her because of her promise of “change,” remember that when asked on several occasions, she couldn’t think of a single Biden policy she would change— open borders, a Nazi-like justice system now being used as a weapon against political opponents, a give-away program that is already bankrupting the country and will raise your taxes and destroy your savings and investment income.
Where is the “change” she tells us we should be so “joyful” about? She does promise in one of her slogans that “We are not going back.” There goes your hope of restoring America to a place of peace, opportunity and freedom.
If all that isn’t scarey enough, remember that “change” doesn’t mean “improvement.” It just means different. This woman grew up as a socialist and wants America to be a socialist nation. She won’t admit it, now that it might alienate some voters. But unless you’re a socialist or Marxist, you aren’t going to be happy with her idea of what America should be. If she wins, get ready for a government that will take more of what you earn, redistribute it to the “needy” — not Americans but the illegals flooding into the country, and regulate even more of your life. And if you don’t believe that, research how Venezuela became a socialist nation and what the results have been.
Some of you are planning to vote for Kamala because you want the right to an abortion. She says that a woman should have the freedom to make decisions about her own body. That’s funny. If I make the decision to use my body to hit a child, kidnap a child or torture a child, I go to jail. But having the right to remove a child from my body and kill it in an abortion? Be afraid, be very afraid, of that kind of “freedom.”
And if you’re voting for Kamala just because you don’t like Trump, you’re going to get more of a trick than a treat.
Polls show that only 29 percent of American voters think the country is going in the right direction. Pardon my bluntness, but you’d have to be braindead to be in the 29 percent that thinks that everything is fine in America and that our future is bright.
The majority of voters, 79 percent, believe we’re headed in the wrong direction under the current administration, whose VP Kamala has admitted that she helped create its policies and can’t think of a single thing she would change, except for her ludicrous promises to bankroll even more give-away schemes that we have no money for.
If you don’t believe we have no money (and many people think Uncle Sam can just print more money and hand it out, which has already brought us to the brink of financial disaster), just ask the storm victims in North Carolina and other states. They were shocked to find that FEMA funds have been spent on illegal immigrants and there is nothing left to help Americans whose homes, roads and livelihoods have been swept away.
Nothing will scare me as much this Halloween as the thought of Kamala Harris becoming the leader of my country. What a Halloween nightmare that would be!
