The Nation's Weather for Sunday, April 30, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An intensifying storm will bring heavy rain and even some
thunderstorms through parts of the Southeast tomorrow. As
the core of this storm lifts northward, heavy rain and
strong winds will reach as far north as Connecticut and
perhaps even western New York during the day before
expanding through New England overnight. On the colder side
of this storm, showers of rain or even snow are expected at
times through the Great Lakes and parts of the Upper Midwest
with temperatures remaining well below historical averages
for most. A wide expanse of dry conditions are in store
south and west of there, through the South, the Plains, the
Southwest and even into the Intermountain West, but the next
arriving storm will bring the chance for showers to mainly
coastal portions of the Pacific Northwest.
