NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon thunderstorms in southeastern Pennsylvania,
central and southern New Jersey, much of Delaware and
eastern Maryland will be capable of turning severe tomorrow.
The strongest storms can bring flash flooding and isolated
damaging wind gusts. A separate corridor of thunderstorms
from eastern Oklahoma east-southeastward to western South
Carolina could cause flash flooding and damaging winds
through the evening hours. Thunderstorms with heavy rain
could cause flooding in New England, particularly in
low-lying and poor drainage areas. An afternoon thunderstorm
or two are likely to rumble through the central Rockies.
Otherwise, relentless heat will continue to bake the
interior Northwest, central valleys of California, Desert
Southwest and much of Texas.
