NATIONAL SUMMARY
An approaching cold front will bring a wide area of showers
stretching from eastern Illinois through Virginia tomorrow.
An associated area of thunderstorms will erupt from North
Carolina through Florida, bringing heavy downpours and
locally damaging winds. Meanwhile, much of New England will
begin to dry out as cleanup efforts begin along the coast in
the wake of Lee. Much of the central United States will be
largely sunny and dry, with any precipitation and clouds
limited to southern Texas. Many areas from the northern and
central High Plains to the Rockies, Great Basin and Pacific
coast can expect dry and sunny conditions with a warm
afternoon. However, there can be a pocket of spotty
afternoon thunderstorms in southwestern Arizona into
southern New Mexico.
