The Nation's Weather for Thursday, November 9, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm moving along the northern tier of the United
States and the southern tier of Canada will spread mixed
rain and snow showers from northern Minnesota to much of the
Northeast tomorrow. In portions of the interior Northeast,
there can be some ice as well, which can lead to slippery
spots on roadways, mainly in the higher elevations. Across
southern New England, steady rain can fall. Rain will spread
from the South Central region to the Appalachian Mountains
as a cold front travels across the region. This front will
also usher in colder air from the South Central to the Great
Lakes regions, with temperatures near to even just below
historical average for this time of year. In the Northwest,
a storm will begin to move onto the coast, bringing rain to
the region, with snow in the higher elevations.
