The Nation's Weather for Monday, September 9, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Through the day tomorrow, a tropical rainstorm will track
northward in the western Gulf of Mexico. This feature is
expected to gain organization as it heads in the general
direction of the southern United States, bringing areas of
heavy rain to far southern portions of Texas during the day.
To the east of there, a stalled front will interact with
enhanced moisture over the eastern Gulf coast to produce
numerous thunderstorms from southeastern Louisiana through
northern Florida, with more spotty storms across South
Florida and southern Georgia. Elsewhere, a disturbance
crossing the eastern Great Lakes means showers and perhaps
some gusty thunderstorms for much of Upstate New York. Most
other locations will be dry tomorrow, but monsoon
thundershowers can build from central Utah into Colorado.
