NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will rumble along the Gulf Coast tomorrow.
Showers will exit New England in the morning. Afternoon
thunderstorms are expected to develop in northeastern
Minnesota, northern and western Wisconsin and the western
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Those storms will progress
eastward through the rest of northern Wisconsin, the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan and eventually into western and
central Lower Michigan overnight. Farther to the south, a
hot day is in store over western Iowa, southeastern Nebraska
and much of Kansas and Oklahoma. The recent
record-challenging heat will continue in parts of the Desert
Southwest. The heat will also reach northward into the
central valleys of California. Meanwhile, the northern
Plains and northern Rockies will be breezy and cool.
