The Nation's Weather for Sunday, November 3, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will cover northern Texas into Oklahoma,
Kansas and some of Nebraska and can produce flash flooding,
hail, localized damaging winds and isolated tornadoes
tomorrow. The rain will be beneficial for the drought, but
the dry soil can also amplify flash flooding from training
thunderstorms. Heavier rain falling over Iowa, Wisconsin and
parts of northern Illinois can cause ponding on roads.
Across the higher elevations of the Rocky Mountains, there
can be snow showers. Generally, elevations below 3,000 feet
can have rain mixing with flakes. Temperatures across the
West will be low while in the Mississippi River Valley into
Kentucky and Tennessee it should be warm. The Northeast will
have calm winds and high temperatures near historical
averages, however, a warmup is on the way into next week.
