NATIONAL SUMMARY
A tropical rainstorm is expected to bring beneficial
rainfall but also localized flooding to southeastern Texas
tomorrow. Elsewhere, afternoon thunderstorms will develop
over much of the Southeast. In the Southwest, mainly
afternoon thunderstorms associated with the monsoon could
bring locally heavy rain to central and southern Utah,
western and central Colorado, northeastern Arizona and
western and northern New Mexico. Spotty afternoon
thunderstorms are forecast in much of Nebraska. More
numerous thunderstorms can rumble through northern Iowa,
Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during the
afternoon. Other than a morning shower in northern New
England, much of the Northeast can expect a dry day.
