The Nation's Weather for Friday, October 7, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A few showers will affect the interior Northeast tomorrow as
a cold front moves eastward. Lake-effect rain showers are
likely near Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin,
northeastern Illinois, northwestern Indiana and southwestern
Lower Michigan. Farther north, the air is likely to be cold
enough for both rain and snow showers during the morning
hours in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. However, no snow
accumulation is expected. A zone of light showers could
dampen Nebraska and northern Kansas. Thundershowers are
expected to rumble through much of New Mexico and the Texas
Panhandle. Thunderstorms will mainly be confined to the
late afternoon in Arizona, but some may be strong enough to
produce dust storms and damaging wind gusts. The valleys of
California will become unseasonably warm.
