Five people were arrested Friday, June 30, after the Magee Police Department served a search warrant at the residence at 903 2nd Street Southeast Magee. (Known as the Eastside)
The warrant was served by narcotics investigator Shane Fewell and members of the Magee Police Department. Investigator Fewell said the warrant resulted from an investigation conducted by the Narcotics Enforcement Unit that found that illegal narcotics were being kept, sold and used inside the residence.
The residence is located approximately two city blocks from Eastside Church. Officers found large amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, MLXLSand drug paraphernalia, including scales, drug packaging material and items used for smoking methamphetamine. Cash and two vehicles were also seized from the residence.
Those arrested were identified as:
• Effie Marie Diamond, 33, arrested on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Christopher Jefferson, 43, arrested on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.
• Holly Savannah Ott, 34, arrested on possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Shawn Michael Ott, 40, arrested on possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Christopher Aaron Whatley, 25, arrested on failure to comply.
Chief Randy Crawford praised the work of narcotics investigator Shane Fewell and the members of the Magee police Department. This case resulted a several month investigation and culminated in a substantial seizure of narcotics. Chief Crawford stated that the department will continue to do everything within their power to keep our citizens safe and drugs out of our community.
