Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Quitman Mangrum, 70, Collins (formerly of Mount Olive), were held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Olive. Interment was in the Providence Church Cemetery, Collins. Pastor Strick Strickland officiated the service. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Mangrum was educated in the Raleigh School System, Raleigh. He served in the United States Army and ranked as a Sergeant.
He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie (Shorty) Mangrum and Juanita Barron Mangrum; one sister, Willie Ruth McNair, and three brothers, Robert Mangrum, George E. Mangrum, and Arthur (Dude) Mangrum.
Survivors include, his wife, Rosetta Wheeler Mangrum, Collins, sons, Johnnie Bernard (NaShonda ) Mangrum, Mt Olive and Adrian Mangrum, Collins; daughter, Karla Preston and adopted granddaughter, Destiny Preston Mangrum, both of Collins; five brothers, Ervin (Corris) Mangrum, Fresno, Texas, Augustus Mangrum, Maywood, IL, David (Dorothy) Mangrum, Apopka, FL, Carl (Vangie) Mangrum, Crestview, FL, and Larry Mangrum, Mount Olive; two sisters, Jacqueline Wallace and Sharon (Arthur) Graves, both of Magee; sister in law, Louise Mangrum, Meridian; three granddaughters and four grandsons; a great granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
