SASE work begins

The Magee Mayor and Board of Aldermen met with the owner of SASE apartments at their June 1 meeting to try to work out issues that could force the city to close the property.
From all indications, the owner, Sen. Samson Jackson, is willing to correct problems that have plagued the apartments for years.

It came as a surprise that an auction sign appeared in the Simpson County Industrial Park in Magee for one of the buildings that was the former home of Pioneer Health Care.

During a reception last Wednesday afternoon at the Magee High School Library, Asst. Suprintendent Dr. Robert Sanders welcomed and introduced Magee’s incoming principal Bill Broadhead. Broadhead comes to Magee after serving as principal in Crystal Springs.

New MHS principal gets his ‘dream job’

A reception was held to officially introduce new principal Bill Broadhead to the staff and faculty at Magee High School last Wednesday afternoon.
Broadhead is no newcomer to Simpson County Schools or Magee having previously served as assistant principal at Magee Middle School.
