Peggy Jean Garner, 74, of Magee, MS, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born Monday, January 16, 1950, in Desoto County, MS.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS, with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial followed in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Norris Ables officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements, 601-849-5031.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Hulon Garner; father, Wayne Seymour; mother, Sadie Belcher Seymour; brothers, Ted Seymour, Johnny Seymour, Donald Seymour and Willie Seymour.
Survivors include her daughters, Stacey Anderson (Jimmy) and Sharon Garner; grandchildren, Mac Anderson, Jackson Anderson and Beau Beauchamp; brothers, Billy Seymour, Dan Seymour; sister, Jackie Seymour; sister-in-law, Ann Abercrombie (Reed), and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Pallbearers were Bryce Magee, Tommy Bishop, Alan Brewer, Kyle Brewer, Jeffrey Sullivan, Josh Seymour, and Jim Seymour.
Honorary pallbearers were Mac Anderson, Jackson Anderson, Beau Beauchamp, Jimmy Anderson, Dan Seymour, and Reed Abercrombie.
Special music was performed by Dr. Sharolyn Magee.
