Penelope Smith passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 75 years old. She was born on August 19, 1949, to Wallace Smith and Sue Alexander Smith in Virginia.
She is survived by her nephew, Franklin Phillips (Jeanie), and brother-in-law, Tony Phillips, along with many friends with whom she made lasting friendships during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Sue Alexander Smith, and sister, Teri S. Phillips.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 2 until 4 p.m.
