Whether you’re a seasoned player or just discovering the game, these new pickle ball courts invite the whole community to join in the fun.
The kitchen—once an unfamiliar term to many—has quickly become the heart of friendly competition and laughter, echoing with the sound of rallies and cheers. With the addition of these new courts, D’Lo Water Park has firmly established itself as a hub for recreation and connection, where neighbors gather, friendships form, and everyone is welcome “in the kitchen.”
The courts are the latest in attractions to the park with more on the way and soon too. The park hosted Vintage 601 Band for their Fourth of July event. The crowd was estimated to be almost 2,000.
In addition to the float trips by kayaking, canoe or inner tube, the park offers many options with the list growing. They have opened three permanent structures for “Glamping” the latest in camping options complete with electricity, and rumor has it they will be air conditioning in the future. The park has a tent glamping station with electricity and a full bed. Just bring your fan.
You will find regular camping, long-term camping and tent camping. “If that is not your thing you can find a shady spot in one of our pavilion,” according to park manager, Patricia Smith.
If you prefer fishing, the facility offers this activity along with a range of the latest lures, and live bait is conveniently available in our camp store.
A suitable place to cool off is the Strong River. Or maybe you would like to exercise on one of the walking trails. For the more adventurous the board is working on a suspension bridge that crosses the river.
The park is made available through the Simpson County Board of Supervisors through the local park commission. Bring the whole family and enjoy the fun!
