Cpl Kyle Carpenter, the youngest and one of only eight living recipients to be awarded the Medal of Honor for actions in Afghanistan, stands in front of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) newest supercomputer. The supercomputer, which was named “Carpenter” in his honor, was dedicated during a ceremony held at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
