Ruby Howard Griffith, 90, passed away on May 10, 2025, at Hillcrest Nursing Center and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, where she will celebrate and joyfully praise God eternally.
Visitation was on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 9 to 11 a.m. The funeral service began at 11 a.m. in the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Ruby was born to Walter and Lona Mae Ellison Howard in Litton, MS. She was a beautician in Shaw, MS, for 43 years, building a clientele that was more like family. Ruby was very creative and enjoyed painting, making floral arrangements, and gardening. She had a servant's heart and was passionate in taking care of those she loved. Ruby was a past member of Shaw Baptist Church and a woman of strong faith. She was known for her unwavering love and support for her family. She always put others before herself, and her kindness touched countless lives. Ruby was a strong woman who faced every challenge with grace and courage, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Buford "Bo" Griffith, and her daughter Debbie Barnard (Gary).
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Williamson (Neal), Judy Watts (Tom), and Annette Geoghegan (James); two sons, Bill Wachter (Cindy) and Jimmy Wachter (Bernadette); eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
