The Mendenhall Tigers improved to 2-1 in district play after a statement win over the Quitman Panthers last week.
The Tigers played true complimentary football with their offense producing 398 yards and scoring 24 points, while the defense held a Quitman offense featuring Dandy Dozen Akylin Dear to 7 points.

The Magee Trojans improved to 7-0 and won the battle of the undefeated against the Raleigh Lions last Friday. Somebody’s “0” had to go, and the Trojans proved themselves to be the superior team, thanks to an outstanding effort from their defense.

The Cougars bounced back this week with a statement win over Copiah Academy as they celebrated Senior Night in The Hole. The game was tightly contested in the first half, but the Cougars eventually found their rhythm and separated from their opponents for a 27-14 victory.
