The Mendenhall Tigers are third round bound after a nailbiter against the Columbia Wildcats last Friday. The Tigers edged out the Wildcats 29-20 in a rollercoaster game and avenged their only loss of the season.

Falcons beat Wildcats

The Falcon Peewees (11-12yrs) began the game on offense. First play of the game would see Ben Martin scamper for a 60-yard touchdown run. The PAT was good; Falcons led the game 8-0. The Meridian Wildcats answered on their second play from scrimmage with a 55-yard touchdown run.

Cougars knock off Bruins for a berth in 3rd round

The Simpson Academy Cougars advance to the third round of state playoffs after a 34-26 win over the St. Joseph Bruins.
The Cougars were effective on offense, taking an early 7-0 lead thanks to a 40 yard touchdown run by Carter Cockrell. Sawyer Dunn connected on the extra point attempt.
