Columbia Academy
Simpson 39 Columbia 36-Scoring for Simpson were TK Catchings and Morgan Griffith with 11 points each, Alissa Brewer 10, Anna Claire Walker 6, and Gracie Bowen 1. The win improved Simpson’s record to 17-2 on the season.
East Rankin Academy
Simpson 52 East Rankin 47-Scoring for Simpson were TK Catchings with 19 points, Anna Claire Walker 13, Morgan Griffith 11, Alissa Brewer 6, Alexis Sullivan 2, and Maddie Moody 1.
The win improved Simpson’s record to 1-0 in district and 18-2 on the season.

The win improved Simpson’s record to 12-4 on the season.
East Rankin Academy
Simpson 98 East Rankin 36-Scoring for Simpson were Hunter Cline with 17 points, Warner Watkins 14, Bowen Kelly 12, Joseph Berry 9, Jered Smith 9, Jaden Wedgeworth 9, Josh Flynt 8, Layton Brown 6, Thomas Pepper 6, Cole Groover 4, and Drew Williams 4. The win improved Simpson’s record to 1-0 in district and 13-4 on the season.
Junior High Games
In Junior High action the Simpson girls defeated Columbia 43-20 and East Rankin 36-29. The Simpson boys defeated Columbia 49-28 and East Rankin 49-28.
The Cougars will travel to Bowling Green School in Franklinton, LA on Friday, January 11, with the varsity girls starting at 5:00 p.m. followed by the varsity boys. The Cougars will host Leake Academy on Saturday, January 12, with the junior high girls starting at 2:00 p.m. followed by the junior high boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys. Simpson will host Copiah Academy on Tuesday, January 15, with the 7th grade girls starting at 3:00 p.m. followed by the 7th grade boys, junior high girls, junior high boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys.
