Simpson played two games last week against Central Hinds Academy and Hillcrest Christian School.
Central Hinds Academy
Simpson 11 Central Hinds 1-Getting hits for Simpson were Olivia Banes with three singles and 4 RBI’s; Ma’Nia Womack two triples, a single, and an RBI; Maddie Moody a double, a single, and 2 RBI’s; Allison Richardson a double and a single; Carson Smith two doubles and 2 RBI’s; Zy Cole an RBI; and Gracie Giordano an RBI.
Pitching for Simpson were Carson Smith 3 innings with 2 strikeouts and Gracie Giordano 2 innings with a strikeout. The win improved Simpson’s record to 3-0 in district play and 13-5 on the season.
Hillcrest Christian School

Pitching for Simpson was Carson Smith 6 innings with 2 strikeouts The loss dropped Simpson’s record to 3-1 in district play and 13-6 on the season.
JV Games
In JV action Simpson lost to Central Hinds 7-6 and defeated Hillcrest 4-3. Simpson will travel to Copiah Academy in Gallman on Monday, September 2, with the JVstarting at 5 p.m. and the varsity to follow. Simpson will play Park Place Christian Academy at Shiloh Park in Brandon on Tuesday, September 3, with the JV starting at 5 p.m. and the varsity to follow.
