David and Kathy Swalm. During cancer treatment Kathy would sit on a stool in the kitchen talking David through recipes, teaching him to cook and bake, including two of his favorites, Kathy's fruitcake cookies and white fruitcake. "He's a good man," Kathy said. They celebrated wrapping chemo and their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Lucia.
