The Magee Trojans competed hard in their district matchup against Jefferson Davis County. The game began with a sense of urgency on both sides of the ball elevating the level of play, but the Trojans ultimately fell to the Jaguars 29-43.
The Trojans matched the Jaguars step for step throughout the game, getting big performances from Kendal Middleton and Christian Hubbard on offense. Jeremiah Cole continued to prove he is a consistent offensive threat, scoring another receiving touchdown.
Delarrius Hayes and Lavell Milton gave great effort from the linebacker position, and Darian Woods consistently harassed the Jaguar quarterback.
The game was tied 22-22 entering halftime and the two teams continued to battle. Unfortunately, the Jaguars managed to make the necessary plays to pull away late in the fourth quarter. The Trojans should be proud of their performance and build on this momentum as they prepare for their final regular season matchup.
The Trojans will face Seminary this Friday at home for Senior Night.
