The Magee Police Department will sponsor a women’s self-defense class on Saturday, May 31, at 10 a.m. It will be held at the Magee Fire Department and is free with no registration required.
According to Police Chief Denis J. Borges, “This class is designed just for women and will focus on real-world techniques that can help you stay safe and confident in any situation. Though it is only one day, it will give you the knowledge and skills to build confidence, stay alert, and protect yourself if faced with danger. Your safety matters. Whether you’re a student, working professional or busy mom, learning how to protect yourself is an important step toward personal strength and peace of mind.”
Borges added that the class will be taught by an experienced instructor in a supportive environment offering hands-on practical application.
