The spirit of Christmas filled downtown Mendenhall on December 6 as the Mendenhall Business Women’s Club hosted its Holiday Magic celebration at the Simpson County Courthouse.
The event, held at 7 p.m., brought the community together for an evening of joy and goodwill—made possible through the generosity of local businesses committed to helping families in need.
This year, the club focused its efforts on supporting two families in the community, and organizers said the outpouring of sponsor support helped make the celebration especially meaningful. Several local businesses stepped forward as Gold Sponsors, contributing $500 each to the cause: Farm Bureau Insurance and PriorityOne Bank. Silver Sponsors, giving $250, included the Mendenhall Community Club, Robby’s Small Engines, and Peoples Bank. A strong group of Bronze Sponsors also supported the event with $100 contributions. Those donors included Kim Smith – DMD PA; Williams' Good Ole Days Buffet; Booth Discount Tire; Tutor Funeral Home; Palmer Insurance Agency; Rankin Accounting Service; NAPA of Mendenhall; McGuffee Drugs; Lauren’s Jams & Jelly; 121 Medical Place, Inc.; Kimberly Blair Smith DMD PA; and 49 Service Center. The Mendenhall Business Women’s Club thanked sponsors and attendees, noting that their kindness helped create a memorable Christmas for two local families.
