I no longer make New Year’s resolutions because I won’t keep them. But I do make predictions. Gazing into my crystal ball at 2021, this is what I see:
Coronavirus is not going away. It will spread as long as it can find a body without antibodies, and that will be for months. The vaccine is still too new for some to trust it, and the liberal media will play up all reports of negative side effects to keep us in fear for another year or two.
Those who voted for Biden for president because “he seems ‘nicer’ than Trump” are about to get what they bought with their votes: higher taxes to pay for the promised “freebies,” more restrictions, uncontrolled and (illegal) immigration of people who will then get to vote, and more funny business at the polls.
Folks, we weren’t voting for the Personality Prize in the 2020 election, we were voting for an ideology that will mark this country from now on! And we’re beginning to see what the new ideology looks like.
Do you think the libs will allow the Republicans to win in the all-important Georgia run-off when they’ve figured out how to throw an election? I won’t be surprised by a Democratic win there when somebody finds another box of stray ballots, all with X’s by the Democratic candidates. Then we have a total liberal take-over of government.
I see Biden finding out how stressful being president is going to be. Even before he takes office, son Hunter is facing investigations into his financial dealings, Black Lives Matter is challenging Joe for not giving them the power he promised before the election, and Bernie Sanders is griping that Biden isn’t putting enough radical socialists on his Cabinet.
Biden was never the Dems’ choice for president anyway, but he presented a more politically acceptable front to moderate voters than the radical Bernie or equally radical Kamala, so they were paid off (Kamala got the VP job) to step down. But they won’t stay in the background. Watch your back, Joe, or you’ll be invited to resign in a month or two “to spend more time with your family” or go to a nice rest home.
Speaking of Biden’s family, I predict that Hunter Biden’s legal problems will go away as soon as Daddy is inaugurated on January 20. It won’t matter how many facts the prosecution digs up, our liberal court system is not going to prosecute.
Whatever Hunter’s sins, Daddy will continue to maintain that Hunter really was qualified to run a gas company in Ukraine that paid him millions, despite the fact that nothing on his resume indicated his ability to run anything; that his son didn’t try to launder the money to keep it from being detected; and that he didn’t commit tax fraud.
Joe Biden doesn’t remember talking to Hunter about any of this. But then, he doesn’t remember where he is half the time.
After Hunter is not prosecuted, I see billions more coming his way.
Speaking of courts, look for the Supreme Court membership to increase from nine to, oh, 15 or so, and for Biden to appoint enough left-leaning, lifetime judges that no conservative causes will ever win in court again.
So if you are, for example, a Christian baker who is sued for refusing to make cakes for same-sex weddings, or a conservative wishing to express your opinion on Facebook, don’t even bother to fight for your rights in court. You are “narrowminded and intolerant,” and you don’t have any rights.
This will be a year of tears. Look for restauranteurs and bar and salon owners in California and New York to keep boo-hooing about being shut down. Look for parents in those states to cry that they want their kids in school. And yet, they keep electing liberal mayors and governors like Newsom in California and De Blasio and Cuomo in New York who impose shutdowns to cripple the economy to cause people to depend for their daily bread on the governments these guys run.
More tears will come from states like Arizona. For years Arizonans have bemoaned the growing number of illegals flowing over the border from Mexico, overwhelming their social and healthcare systems. Yet...they voted Democratic in the 2020 election. They were pushed in that direction by immigrants from California, who were getting away from what liberalism has done there, only to bring their Democratic voting habits with them. What is it you don’t get, guys?
In the coming year, my crystal ball shows more support for Defund the Police. It’s part of the move toward anarchy that’s necessary to destabilize society and permit the social and political changes the liberals want. Oh, its own supporters will still stupidly keep calling the police when criminals assault them, but they will find that there’s no one to take their calls. Officers can’t work without pay. Maybe in Portland and Chicago you can defend yourself without the gun that has been confiscated. Good luck with that.
And to all of you, good luck in 2021. My crystal ball says you’re going to need it.
