Joseph Lee Magee of 570 Stonewall Road Pinola MS was arrested on January 30 and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Teddy D. Porter of 357 Enoch Grove Road was arrested on January 30 and charged with possession of marijuana.

Suspected burglar arrested in county

Simpson County deputies were in the area of LD Walker Road, Dr. Magee Road, and Cole Road South last weekend looking for an individual who was allegedly stealing trail cameras and destroying citizen’s hunting stands. The man was also suspected in other burglaries in the northern part of the county.

Three arrested in traffic stop

During a routine traffic stop the Simpson County Sheriff's Office was able to seize drugs and a firearm last week. While investigating a shooting into an occupied dwelling near Moody Wallace Road, Sheriff’s deputies were canvasing the area for the shooter.
