Mendenhall Tiger standout Henry Funches has been selected to represent his school and community as a member of the Mississippi Association of Players (MAP) All-Star Team. Funches will compete in the prestigious All-Star game on January 18 at Rice-Totten Stadium on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University.
The selection recognizes Funches’ dedication, talent, and consistent performance throughout his high school career. Chosen from athletes across the state, MAP All-Star honorees are recognized not only for their athletic ability, but also for their work ethic, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the field.
As a member of the Mendenhall Tigers, Funches has been a key contributor, earning respect from teammates, coaches, and opponents alike. His selection to the All-Star team highlights both his individual achievements and the strength of the Tigers’ football program.
The January 18 All-Star event will bring together some of Mississippi’s top high school athletes for a showcase of talent in front of fans, coaches, and recruiters. For Funches, the opportunity represents a well-earned honor and a chance to compete alongside some of the best players in the state.
