The Mendenhall Mayoral Health Council hosted its second annual Community Christmas Luncheon on December 19, providing a free holiday meal for residents of Mendenhall and surrounding communities.
The event focused on ensuring that individuals and families were able to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner during the holiday season. The luncheon was made possible through the support of local sponsors and community partners.
Organizers said the event was created to address the need for accessible holiday meals for citizens who may not otherwise have the opportunity to celebrate with a full Christmas dinner.
Following the success of the inaugural luncheon, which served more than 250 people, the Health Council continues to expand the event as an annual tradition. The growing community response highlights the ongoing commitment to supporting residents and fostering a sense of togetherness during the holidays.
In addition to the Christmas luncheon, the Mendenhall Mayoral Health Council plans to host additional community-focused events throughout the year, including health initiatives and seasonal programs.
Residents are also encouraged to watch for the return of the Mendenhall Farmer’s Market when weather conditions allow.
