Harrisville Day will be this Saturday, September 22.
District 77 Representative Price Wallace said that everyone is encouraged to come out and participate. “There will be a softball tournament, several speakers, and I’m sure there will be some food out there worth eating.”
Wallace said Cindy Hyde Smith, Delbert Hoseman, and Andy Gipson may be in attendance. Also, representatives of the State Treasury Office will be bringing equipment to see if people are owed any money. Wallace explained that citizens would need some form of identification and the State treasury Office will check to see if they have any unclaimed money. He said, “People will be able to check; it could be money from anything like wills, insurance, any type of unclaimed money.”
Wallace also invited citizens to engage him with their concerns so that they can be addressed in the next session. He said “Everyone should be out here to meet the folks of Harrisville.”
