Six Cougars signed baseball scholarships to further their playing career and education on January 14. Congratulations to Braden Duncan, Ben Kennedy, Barrett McKenney, Gage Smith, Kade Walker, and Bryce Williams.
Braden will be joining the Hinds Eagles as a center fielder.
Ben will play for the Hinds Eagles as a third baseman.
Barrett McKenney has signed with Northwest on a dual scholarship to play shortstop on their baseball team and quarterback for the football team.
Gage Smith signed a scholarship with the East Central Warriors as an outfielder.
Kade Walker will be joining the Wolfpack after signing with Co-Lin as an outfielder.
Bryce Williams signed with the Coahoma Tigers as an outfielder.
Coach Todd Mangum said, “This a proud day for these young men and their families. They are about to go out into the world and represent themselves and their families well along with Simpson Academy.”
