The Mendenhall Tigers clinched their district championship last Friday with a 27-7 victory over Northeast Jones. Tayton James led the team, completing 12 of 20 pass attempts for 121 yards, a touchdown and an interception. James was also the leading rusher with 123 yards on 17 carries.
