Falcons teams have mixed results in forays against opponents in Magee, Morton

The Falcons travelled up the road to take on the Trojans of Magee on Saturday, Oct. 8.
In the first game the Falcon Rookies (7-8yrs) went on offense first and had to punt on their first series. The Trojans scored first and often as the youngest Falcons just couldn’t get in sync.

The Simpson Academy Cougars take the field for their homecoming matchup against Riverfield Academy. The Cougars dominated the Raiders winning the game 42-6. The Cougars have improved to a 6-2 overall record.

Cougars put on a show for Riverfield at Homecoming

The SCA Cougars had Homecoming last Friday night and in front of an extremely large crowd, the boys from Simpson County put on yet another show. This time the Cougars welcomed Riverfield Academy from Louisiana to “The Hole,” where the Cougars were rude hosts.

Two teens arrested, charged with murder of Lake High School senior

Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee said Tuesday morning that two 16-year-olds have been arrested and charged with murder, and that other arrest may be possible, in connection with the shooting death of Lake High School senior Travis Jones last Thursday.
