The Simpson Academy Cougar defense played well down the stretch to secure the 29-21 win over the Lamar Raiders.

The Simpson Academy Cougars defeated the Lamar Raiders 29-21 last Friday.
The Cougars took an early lead midway through the first quarter following an errant snap that resulted in a safety. Barret McKenney scored the first touchdown of the game pushing the Cougars’ lead to 9-0 following the PAT.

Tigers’ Darius Dampier gets loose for a 42 yard touchdown run. Dampier recorded nine carries for 87 yards and a touchdown, and added two receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown.

Tigers trump Trojans 34-0 in Simpson County Super Bowl

Another Simpson County Super Bowl is in the books after the Mendenhall Tigers defeated the Magee Trojans 34-0. The day started with a win for the Tigers after they were named the winners of the annual Blood Bowl for raising the most units of blood.
