Congratulations to Halie Sutton and Lola Cook on signing scholarships to further their education.
Halie Sutton will be joining the Webber International University Volleyball Team in Florida. Sutton explained that she always wanted to move back to Florida, and she is looking forward to being a part of a great program, where she can continue to grow as a player and person.
Lola Cook will be joining the Delta State Cheer Squad. Cook said “I’m really excited. I’ve always wanted to cheer since I was younger and I’ve had some ups and downs throughout my cheer career. I found Delta State online and I really felt comfortable when I toured the campus. I went to a clinic and got an offer so I’m excited to go!”
Cook offered advice to her underclassmen saying, “Never give up. Even if you have trials and tribulations throughout your athletic career never give up, and keep pushing.”
