Cougars end regular season with loss

The Simpson Academy Cougars wrapped up their regular season Friday night with a tough 35–12 loss to the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots in Ridgeland.
Despite the defeat, the Cougars will advance to the MAIS Division 3 playoffs as the No. 4 seed and will host Brookhaven Academy this Friday in The Hole.

The Mendenhall High School Cheerleaders have done an excellent job cheering on their team during the regular season. The Cheer Squad is ready to make some noise as the Tigers face Newton County in the first round of the playoffs on the road this Friday.

The Mendenhall Tigers closed out their regular season in dominant fashion Friday night, shutting out the Raymond Rangers 33-0 on the road.
The victory secured Mendenhall the No. 3 seed heading into the MHSAA Class 4A playoffs, where they will travel to face Newton County this Friday.
