The final Friday Nights on Main event of the year brought the community together once again as hundreds gathered in downtown Mendenhall for the annual Trunk or Treat celebration.
More than 600 children participated in the Halloween-themed event, marking a strong finish to another successful season of community gatherings in Mendenhall.
The evening featured rows of decorated vehicles lining Main Street, offering treats and smiles to costumed children and families. The Friday Nights on Main organization said the energy from the crowd made for an uplifting close to the year’s series, which has become a staple event for local residents and visitors alike.
Throughout the year, Friday Nights on Main hosted monthly “Cruisin” events featuring classic cars, live music, and family-friendly entertainment. Organizers expressed appreciation to everyone who attended and supported the events, saying that community participation is what makes the gatherings so special.
Event organizer Tim Gray thanked all those who took part, noting that it takes a lot of work, time, and money to participate and that their efforts made the night such a success. He added that it was a big night with plenty of happy children.
With another year wrapped up, the group looks forward to returning in March with a new season of “cars, people, and good family fun.” The first Friday Nights on Main of the new year is scheduled for the first Friday in March, and organizers hope to see the community back in full force for the kick off. season.
