In fact, Magee will celebrate its 125th year, 100 years of Trojan football, and the Volunteer Fire Department turning 75 on that day.

Tigers scratch out win over Eagles

Under muggy skies Friday night, the Mendenhall Tigers jumped out to an early lead and then held firm in the second half to escape with a 20-12 win over the South Pike Eagles.
The victory lifts the Tigers to 2-1 on the season and provides a jolt of momentum heading into the heart of their schedule.

Mark Grubbs Elected Mayor of Magee, Outlines Vision for City’s Future

Mark Grubbs was elected the new mayor for Magee on June 3. He beat out opponent Jim Snider by a vote of 299 to 125. Grubbs won the Republican nomination in April running against Joe Worrell, 220 to 183.

Development Foundation proposes purchase of school property
